Welcome to my reflection from Tokyo. (東京からの想いへようこそ。)
When the sun rises over the city, covering the highways and silhouettes in an impossible orange glow, it feels like a moment paused just for you. Tokyo is a place of incredible speed and motion—a city that never truly stops. It can be hard to believe that Tokyo Peace is even possible here. We are all searching for that feeling of stillness, that quiet moment where the noise fades away.

Lately, I’ve been finding those moments down by the river as the light shifts, or looking up at the moon hanging in the morning sky, like a light pointing to God’s Glory.

It’s a reminder that no matter how fast our lives are spinning, God’s creation moves with a perfect, quiet rhythm. He offers us a grace that is just as consistent and powerful as that daily sunrise. It is a new gift of peace available in the midst of our movement.
Even when we try to slow down, the numbers on our life’s “computer” are constantly changing—speed, temperature, duration.

But true peace isn’t found in trying to force life’s speed to zero; it’s found when we pause, lift our eyes, and intentionally accept the quiet, consistent grace He offers.
That grace is enough for the rush hour, the quiet evening, and the new morning.
Philippians 4:7
If you do that, God will give you peace in your minds. That peace is so great that nobody can completely understand it. You will not worry or be afraid, because you belong to Christ Jesus.
